Will criminal record from another country show up in the U.S? ?

Saturday, April 10th, 2010
Saiyuki-ICU/CCU asked:

I was watching this show called Locked Up Abroad on the National Geographic Channel. Some of these criminals are so stupid and show no respect of being a guest in another country. Will a U.S. citizen who committed a crime in another country (i.e. drug smuggling/possession) have to turn over their US passport once they arrive back to the U.S.? Will their prison sentence show up in a U.S. criminal background search?

Help with a term on criminal case record I found on my boyfriend?

Sunday, February 21st, 2010
miss bre asked:

My boyfriend is currently serving 90 days in county jail in an inpatient treatment program for violating his probation by not passing a drug test.
I asked him a long time ago what he did to get put on probation and he would never tell me.
So, last night I’m bored and can’t sleep and decided to go find out for myself.
The jail that he is in has an inmate/criminal hearing/criminal case record detail search that gives you a pretty detailed report…..which is nice and all……but I’m not quite sure what all this shit means so can anyone translate and tell me what he might of done?
This is what the report said:

Filed on 09/25/2007
05/22/07-FRAUD DESTROY REMOVAL CONCEALMENT WRITING
Misdemeanor A
Current Status: Disposed/CSCD

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have access to public records such as criminal backround?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009
Lisa N asked:

Ok, I know someone that said they’d be out of town for a month, while they were gone, I looked them up online and it showed they were in jail for 1 month! When they came back and I searched again, it was gone. The will county, IL. circuit court system charged a fee to access online, as well as many other backround sites? Does anyone have access? Email me and I’ll give you the name of this person if you can check.
This is just for knowledge, and should be available because it is a matter of public record.

Thanks!
I don’t want to do anything illegal by getting this info.

criminal rec. check said my charge is theft under $1000 but disposition says?

Z H asked:

17 years ago i was charged with fraud (i was 18 and cashed 2 gov’t chq’s i shouldn’t have-i was dumb!) anyways now i am applying for a pardon but i noticed my RCMP criminal search came back and said theft under $1000 SEC 334B CC WITHDRAWN…so what does that mean? because i did get a punishment and that part says susp. sent. and probation 12 months. I am very confused because to me withdrawn means that charges were withdrawn, so do i or do i not have a criminal record?

Criminal Record Erased? Is this possible?

Friday, November 27th, 2009
hippiegirl asked:

I am going out with a prominent man in our relatively small community. According to a friend of mine, he was charged with spousal abuse some years ago after he broke his wife’s hand in a fight. I have searched all public records and even paid on sites like FBI for any public info on court records, criminal records etc about this charge and come up with nothing about this incident. In fact he has a clean record. If there was in fact an incident and he was charged, is this record permanent or can it be erased somehow by some powers that be if he had the right connections? surely a criminal charge can not be erased?

why is a sealed criminal record appearing in an online background check?

Monday, November 2nd, 2009
mj’smomma asked:

I am helping my fiance find a better job.. A few years ago, he was involved in a drunken bar fight, which ended up in his being arrested.. About a year ago, we had the record sealed.. However as we started this new job search, I decided that it might not be a bad idea to check his background, the way an employer might, and make sure this record did not appear.. Well, guess what… It did! We tried an online service, Net Detective, and it was there…Does anyone know why a sealed record would still be appearing on this background check? I’m assuming that if it’s here, it would be on any background check.

when are cops suppose to do a body search?

Friday, October 23rd, 2009
Jack Bauer asked:

a little argument between some people here. a friend was caught walking across railroad tracks when the bars were down and claims that he was body searched after being asked if he had told them he had a criminal record. I think he’s lying. Who’s correct?
they came up to us asked us what we did wrong we told them we didnt know they told us what we did wrong. they asked us if we had any criminal reord. we arentstupid. we dont lie to cops. he told them first. yes. we do have records. so they went straight to him cuz, as most people know, men tend to be more open to violence than women so they searched him and asked him if he had any weapons on him etc.
if you dont believe that maybe you should try to go out and get the police’s atttention and see what they do to you.k?

what she said. oh and she’s not really a friend.

Oklahoma criminal records?

Sunday, July 26th, 2009
squid_vision asked:

Is there a place where I can find the details of a criminal case from 2004 that took place in Oklahoma? I have the profile of the individual from the OK Department of Corrections, but it only states the title of the offense. I’m looking for details.

I have already tried searching the websites of some OK newspapers, but I can’t find any mention of his name.
