captainmorganbuddy asked: Since operating hours are closed and I can’t find the related material online, I figured I’d ask the folks at answers.yahoo…
I’m reviewing a record (CORI) and I just need to get some acronyms understood. Here we go:
Arraignment 1:
DISP: NR
I’m assuming it’s a disposition, but what does NR stand for?
Arraignment #2:
DISP: DISM
Am I correct to assume this was dismissed?
Arraignment #3:
DISP: C 9/21/97 CWOF 12/21/97 CC VWF PD DISM
Okay, this one I’m guessing was a continuance for three months and if nothing further was charged, it would be dismissed… no? Otherwise, that whole DISP line might as well be spaghetti to me.
Arraignment #4:
DISP: C 9/21/97 $125 REST SS 12/21/97 PD
Does this mean a conviction took place because of a fine? Or is this same as above – that it was continued for three months and if charges were brought again, that person would have to pay the fine of $125 ?
Arraignment #5:
DISP: C 9/21/97 CWOF 12/21/97 CC PD
Again, maybe it means continued without finding (CWOF) but I’m so not sure what that even means…
It would be *VERY* helpful if these records came with acronym definitions, a dictionary or whatnot… I’ve searched and read over the Mass CORI system online and I found nothing with regard to understanding these things in depth… the only thing I could find out was that DISP meant disposition, which is like an end result.
I welcome your explanations.
Thank you
